Go Obama!

We are elated beyond belief about the outcome of the election. The monumental accomplishment is HUGE for our country and the world. Words cannot express the emotions we have felt leading up to yesterday and now that it is decided we are relieved. We are full of promise and hope.

We had to hit the town to celebrate and had one of the best nights we've had in awhile. After meeting friends at Spitfire in Belltown, we cheered, cried, laughed, hugged and toasted to Obama's victory. It was truly an unforgettable evening that I know all of us will hold near and dear to our hearts for the rest of our lives.

We had to bring Emmett into the celebration, so when we got home just after 10p we knew we had to wake him up to announce that our next president will be Barack Obama. We woke him and picked him up to tell him "Emmett, Obama won. Obama won!" For the first time in his life he said, "mommy and daddy, I want my crib." We laughed and hugged then quickly got him back to his blissful sleepy time.

We're truly on cloud nine and finally feel like something positive is happening in our country and the world! America is waking up to a whole new beginning!
