Misty

This morning we had our usual routine and frankly, we were happy to be in it after two big trips to MO and MT. When deciding what to do today, I looked outside and said, "well, it's kind of misting right now." Then Emmett followed up with, "mommy, I wish I could bring Misty back from the dead for you."

Awww, I loved that dog SO MUCH and now my son wants me to have her again. It was a great opportunity for us to talk about her spirit and how she is really happy. He said, "oh, I know where she is...she's in heaven." I told him some like to think of it that way and I consider it a place with lots of white light and love.

Emmett finished the conversation with, "mommy, she's in heaven. I'm in heaven." :-)

BIG SMILE on my face.

Lake Chelan, Part 2

We spent one glorious night at Lake Chelan Winery. 80s and sunny!

Emmett felt inspired and peaceful with the sunset that night. It is kind of hard to see, but he sat down just before the vineyards and put his hands together for "namaste". An indelible memory that makes my heart smile.

Hands in the air and then back at the heart center.

Love. Joy. Freedom.

Lake Chelan, Part 1

Baseball with Papa and Emmett has become a favorite past time.

The boys.

Daddy sure is going fast Gramma, isn't he?!

Our First Mate for the day.

Red Fireballs Soccer!

We started the season slowly (sat out for 3 games). I learned a lot about competition with preschoolers. It's a lot for them to handle and Emmett hated to "see his team lose". We didn't push him and it wasn't until the second to last game that our boy blossomed. He did a complete 180 and was running the field, stopping goals and breaking a sweat.

The team with Coach Katie.

His first trophy! Yes, he did sleep with it one night.
